Tekken 5!!!!

I sooo cannot wait for Tekken 5 to make it’s way to the public…why is Namco taking so long?

I guess I’m the only Tekken junkie there is in this world? It looks like we all gotta wait til Feb of ‘05 for this one…but on a better note - Ling Xiaoyu and Hwoarang (legs as I so aptly named him) will be returning to fight!! Yippee and hooray (can you tell, they’re my favorites?).

For the folks who can’t make it out to E3 (like myself), you can always check out screenshots online at Gamer’s Hell

And to answer that age old (well, not really, but it sounded good) question about which is better, Xbox or PS2, “until Namco starts making Tekken (including retroactive versions) for Xbox, PS2 will forever be infinitely better in my eyes - screw the graphics” and I stand by that statement. But in all fairness to the makers of Xbox (although your Inept Explorer has thoroughly pissed me off) - you do have nicer graphics and a few other perks - eh.

The Olympics, their goofs and the price

I love the Olympics - or rather, certain events within the Olympics and gymnastics is one of them. I was rootin’ for the USA all the way (and at some points, the Korean and Chinese cuz they are just really awesome gymnasts).

I will admit, I had just missed the whole hubbub with the Paul Hamm thing cuz I took a potty break at the wrong time - I came back to find the anchorman doing an interview with Hamm and asking questions like “so are you going to give the medal back?” (my initial thought was…whaaaaa?!? what the hell did I miss?!?)

Woo and Hoo - My Moods are Workin’

After a lot of PHP hackery, I have finally gotten my moods to work - too bad I can’t mix the moods, otherwise I would be showing mild annoyance along with accomplishment and great joy…but I still gotta give props to the man who came up with the original code (which has been thoroughly hacked up by yours truly - well not really, but it sounded good) ::Kevin McDuffee:: and a gracious thank you for ::Jonathan Weiner:: who provided these loverly mood icons. I’ll eventually get around to designing my own - but, hmm…that’s way off in the future somewhere.

I write…

Or well, I used to. I stumbled across some of my old notebooks from my youth and was astonished at some of my more “colorful” works and I had to ask myself…how come I don’t write anymore? I remember journaling just about every day - sometimes multiple times throughout the day detailing all the events that ocurred, with whom, and how I felt about it. I wrote stories of love and romance (although I don’t really enjoy reading the stuff… I am a die hard romantic), I wrote tales of teen ridicule, poetry, horror stories and just plain strange stuff (alien abductions and that lot…). But, here of late, it’s all stopped - now all I find myself writing is XHTML and CSS code with some PHP hackery here and there.

Well, it has to end somewhere, or rather, start again somewhere… and hopefully this blog will prove to be the beginning of my writing again - simply writing for pleasure in words that most of the english speaking world can understand without having to “validate” first.

Of course, I’ll be regularly updating my “poems & stories” section with the writings from my youth (some of which has been published) and hopefully my more recently inspired musings…

P.S. my definition of regularly is whenever I feel like it ;)

Disclaimer

This is my personal online journal (i.e. therapy), I will write my inner most feelings, opinions, or simply bs - nothing on here is meant to treat, cure, or diagnose any dis-ease or other ailment you may have. You are free to agree with me, disagree with me or swim in a sea of apathy regarding anything I have to say, it’s your birthright….but, since this is my little piece of cyberspace - I am going to use it to express myself. If you like it, great - if not, don’t read it. :-D

It’s also worth noting that one can never judge a book by it’s cover. I am, just like you are, a diverse and unique individual - if you want to truly know me, you’ll actually need to take the time to get to know me…while my online journal can provide some insight into how I think and operate, it is surely not the definitive guide to “who teli is”…so if you have any questions or would like to know something, just ask - I don’t bite (unless I have to).

Updated: Comments to any posts older than 14 days will be moderated and must be approved by me (to help cut down on the leeches and spammers)

You can contact me from my design site contact form - I haven’t gotten around to creating a contact form for this site yet.

So you really want to know more about me?

Okay, you asked for it :)

What’s your name?
Everyone calls me Teli (so I assume that’s it)

How old are you?
Didn’t anyone tell you it’s impolite to ask a lady her age? But cuz I’m nice - I turned 21 forever in 2001.

Are you married or do you have a boyfriend?
I’m only married if I’m not interested in what you have to offer - otherwise, no - not married and don’t have a boyfriend.

Do you have any children?
Yes, her name is Little Tiger, she has these really cute big green eyes, grey and black stipes, the four cutest paws you ever did see and she’s about 2 1/2 years old…

You seem weird, what’s up with that?
I’m not weird, just unique in my own way.

Word Press is a SUCESS!

It is with great pleasure that I am finally able to blog with the best of them! I tried Moveable Type - got as far as installing it to my server…then I was lost. Can we say total and complete confusion? I have a vague recollection of how I found WP, but I know I was thanking the almighty when I did find it…

What do I like so far? It’s completely free, Their 5 minute install took me less than 5 minutes to install, after a little PHP hackery I was able to easily create a customized template, the documentation and wiki are fairly thorough which all added up to less of a headache for me . This is some awesome stuff :) - thank you WordPress peeps.

Of course, I’m writing this while I’m half asleep and fully dellusional, so I will have to update it later.

So the rambling begins…

24 hours, 6 cups of coffee, and an unyielding desire to unleash my sanity upon the world…

It is now 1:41am EST and after Miscrosoft’s Inept Explorer 6.0 has thoroughly and completely pissed me off, I am calling it an evening. If you are using any version of Inept Explorer, I recommend you view this site using something else, anything else (Mozilla Firefox - take back the web) - but if you insist on using IE and you happen to be missing a navigation bar over on your right, click on one of the links on the page - it’ll appear. I’ve figured out this is a bug with IE - I don’t know which bug as there are quite a few…and since this is my personal ranting space on the web - I don’t plan to track it down either.

Hey Miscrosoft! Catch up to the rest of the world and fix your $#@^! Or did you just not care about the millions of people who feel like they “have” to use IE because it’s what came with their computer?!?

Thank you guys over at Mozilla for making some awesome stuff and showing people that there is an alternative (and a vastly better one at that).
