So you really want to know more about me?
Okay, you asked for it
What’s your name?
Everyone calls me Teli (so I assume that’s it)
How old are you?
Didn’t anyone tell you it’s impolite to ask a lady her age? But cuz I’m nice – I turned 21 forever in 2001.
Are you married or do you have a boyfriend?
I’m only married if I’m not interested in what you have to offer – otherwise, no – not married and don’t have a boyfriend.
Do you have any children?
Yes, her name is Little Tiger, she has these really cute big green eyes, grey and black stipes, the four cutest paws you ever did see and she’s about 2 1/2 years old…
You seem weird, what’s up with that?
I’m not weird, just unique in my own way.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
What spare time?
Do you have any hobbies or anything?
Yes – I like to build websites. Aside from that, I like to read, draw, play my flute, listen to music, watch t.v., go to the movies (or make it a blockbuster night – I love those) and I also take dance (jazz and hiphop) and kung fu (don’t worry, I’m only a white belt still – turns out my yellow belt from tae kwon do didn’t carry over).
What kind of music do you listen to?
Alot. I love music, it is part of my core being. I love all music that has feeling or a meaning behind it. I’m one of them ‘ole fashioned type people who actually listen to the lyrics (if the song has any). I’m a sucker for (in no particular order) most* hiphop, most* alternative, folk, classical, R&B, rock, country, some* metal, jazz, blues, big band, swing, um…the list is pretty much endless (I even like to listen to yodelling)
*I’m pretty much not into the “murder everyone you know” type of stuff
So, what’s your favorite song?
A couple of my favorite songs for a long while now are Mozart’s Symphony #40 in G Minor, K. 550 (first movement: molto allegro) and Somewhere Out There (yes, from An American Tale – it gives me hope)
Some of my more recent mainstream favorites include (in no particular order): Lose Yourself by Eminem, Love Song by 311, Broken by Seether ft. Amy Lee, Hurt So Bad by Kina, Fallin’ by Alicia Keys, So Cold by Breaking Benjamin, Somebody Told Me by The Killers, Immortal by Evanescence, Redneck Woman* (don’t remember the artist), Get It Started by Black Eyed Peas, I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace…there are a couple others, but I’ll save them for another day.
*I am not a redneck, however I do say “hey ya’ll and yee haw”
What kind of books do you like and what’s your favorite book?
Horror. Yep, mainly horror. I’d say 40% of my library is Stephan King, John Saul, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice and H.P. Lovecraft with a few other more obscure horror novelists. Growing up I would read anything I could put my hands on that had to do with Vampires, Banshees, Werewolves, witches and other macabre creatures. I also like the classics (Shakespeare, Dickinson, Bronte, Steinbeck, etc.), mythology, poetry (esp Maya Angelou and Toni Morrison), spirituality and religion, reference books and pretty much anything with substance or that seems like it would be interesting.
My reading tastes are much like my musical tastes – diverse and a bit scary to some who may not understand.
My favorite book is Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein and my absolute most favoritest (yea…it’s a made up word) poem is in there – “No Difference” and I still have it memorized since 5th grade.
What kind of movies do you like and what’s your favorite movie?
Horror (you didn’t guess it from my taste in books?). I loooove horror movies from the good ‘ole fashion black and whites to the modern CGIs. I also like sci-fi, comedies, dramas, action adventure, etc – but it needs to have a point somewhere (or be extremely funny).
My favorite movie is Men In Black (not two, just one). Don’t know why really – but I’ve seen it well over 50 times and I’m still not tired of it…I think it’s my comfort movie (some people have comfort foods…I have a comfort movie).
Don’t worry, I will continue to update the Teli section regularly (BTW – my definition of regularly is whenever I feel like it)
