While browsing the TextPattern forums, I came across an interesting thread which linked to a spam fix that anyone can use regardless of blogging platform. This is something that I had not come across as yet - similar fixes using mod_rewrite, yes, but this - no.
After reading it, and going “hmmm…”, I’ve decided that I’m going to implement it and see how it works out for me - hopefully well. You’ll need to be running Apache that has mod_security enabled.
