I was just checking my webstats and while MSIE 6.0 is still fairly prominent, and MSIE 5.5 is dying out slowly - what surprised me the most was seeing MSIE 4.01* pop up. I could have sworn this browser died a slow and horrible death years ago - but then again, I could be wrong.
I know my site looks like crap run over twice in that browser (heck, it looks like crap run over once in IE 6), but I don’t plan to start coding for it, that’s for sure.
* I should probably note that it’s an AOL user still on 4.0…now I’m really curious, what would stop someone from upgrading their version of AOL? I figure, everyone should be running the latest (or at least 6.0) with the amount of junk CDs they send out in the mail every week.

I think it’s been noted that more recent versions of AOL are a pain in the arse to uninstall, so that could be a reason why someone didn’t upgrade.
I tend to think that an AOL user sophisticated enough to know about this would be a non sequitur .
