So I’m not addicted to my AdSense stats or anything and I don’t log in every second to check my stats, I pretty much leave them to do their thang, buuuut I do have the Firefox AdSense Notifier plugin.
This morning when I logged in I had some money accumulating and thought to myself ‘this is going to be a great AdSense day for me…’ and around 1pm I open up Firefox and sure ‘nuf I saw a big fat goose egg across the board - clicks, click through rate, click %, and the biggie - the money.
To be honest, I started to panic and fired up my Thunderbird to shoot an email to the Google team asking what I could have possibly done to get kicked out of the AdSense program…but, eh hem, I came to my senses and just decided to do a bit of troubleshooting before I went all belligerent on anyone.
Turns out I wasn’t kicked out, they just updated their AdSense policy (read about how this may affect you) and I just needed to read over it and agree. They also have a new interface for the stats (me likey) and that’s what was causing my stats to show up as 0 in the AdSense notifier.

On the same day I used to earn around 150 day, my earnings dropped to around 25 per day, and this month it is down to 15 per day. Same traffic, no changes, just the new policy.
It is a good thing I am not a postal worker.

Ouch…that’s brutal. I’ve noticed quite a few people reporting lowered AdSense income, but mine has only steadily gone up…very strange - I guess I’m just in the lucky bunch (knock on wood)
