Born On The 4th of July
Happy Independence Day everyone (in the United States anyway). I hope you eat lots of hot dogs, have lots of fun, and watch lots of fireworks.
And, happy birthday Kim and Crisi. You know how lucky you guys are to have such a cool birthday? (Not many people can say “I’m born on the 4th of July” ya know.)
Wish I were there to help you celebrate, but since I cannot, I’m with you in spirit. Plus, there’s Vegas in November.

I hope you had a great 4th, teli! (=
I’m all mad at the people who do the 4th show on the mall.
They usually do the 1812 overture - with cannons!
I either a) missed it because they did it earlier than I expected or b) missed it because they didn’t do it at all.
It was very disappointing. I wasn’t thrilled with watching the fireworks display end with two verses of the Star Spangled Banner (who sings the second verse?) sung by some Christian singer who sings everything in the stars. *sadness*

Hey Pandora,
My 4th was pretty uneventful. It’s been rainy here for the past few weeks and it was only dry long enough for a few fireworks to go off.
Didn’t go out or do anything, just stayed in and enjoyed the day off
Sorry you missed your cannons…don’t think I’ve heard of anything like that down here unless I’m not paying very close attention to the activities.
There’s always next year though

P.S. The Star Spangled Banner has a second verse? What does it start with?
