Ikea-riffic
If you follow my tweets, it’s no secret that I went to the Ikea grand opening in Sunrise. It was awesome.
Since it was a spur of the moment decision, I didn’t have a good camera on me. So, I apologize now for the low quality (and sometimes blurry) phone pics… but, without further ado, here is Ikea.

We tailed a couple cops on a golf cart into the Ikea parking lot.

There were people everywhere, but it was very organized and plenty of parking in the huge two story garage.

Snapped this pic just to give you an idea of how massive Ikea actually is.

Welcome…you are about to enter Ikea and be awed.

It’s so big you need a map to find your way around. First, you go up to the top floor and follow the arrows on the floor.

This is the nice lady who helped my clueless looking behind by first taking my cart from me, then handing me a map and explaining how the “Ikea system” works. (Is it just me or does she actually look Swedish?)

Someone at Ikea has a sense of humor. (They were talking about the mirror, by the way.)

My niece even found some furniture she could work with. (After refusing to move from the table, she did, in fact, end up with a new table/chair set and a new toy.)

Ikea has a restaurant. The food smelled good, but the line was a mile long so we opted for Chili’s instead.
All right, after putting up all those pics, I’m starting to realize that I’m a pretty bad photojournalist. Sorry for the totally random pics of everything except the inside of Ikea.
Part of me wants to go back just so I can get some good pictures of their furniture. If anyone would like to join me, just say the word.
